En las secciones de Listening, también creadas específicamente para la serie, los estudiantes encontrarán diálogos, entrevistas, conversaciones, narraciones y monólogos. Los temas van desde diálogos situacionales, anuncios de viajes, reseñas y opiniones hasta testimonios profesionales, información empresarial y académica. Se incluyen distintos tipos de ejercicios, por ejemplo, tipo test o elección múltiple, preguntas con respuestas cortas, completar frases y ejercicios de emparejamiento. Las extensas secciones de Writing proveen al estudiante de detalladas guías para completar las múltiples tareas las cuales incluyen, por ejemplo, correos electrónicos formales e informales, ensayos argumentativos, informes, críticas y artículos. Dos características destacadas de estos libros son las secciones de Task Strategy y Answer Key. La sección de Task Strategy se presenta en un documento adjunto, incorporado en un bolsillo de la contraportada, muy útil para una referencia rápida en clase o en casa, y proporciona pautas lingüísticas específicas y consejos para abordar con éxito cada tipo de tarea.
